Getting the MGF tire pressures right is important to handling of the car. As a sports car handling is everything. The MGF needs a combination of tire pressures, tires and suspension setup.
The owners manual provides the required pressures for various wheel and tire sizes.

As it seems that tire pressure is important I have taken two steps with my car. I keep a tire pressure gauge in the car at all times. Additionally, I obtained a portable tire inflator. This works off an internal battery or can use the cigar lighter with a plug in adapter. This allows the pressures to be kept within specifications any time. I find this particularly helpful for road trips.

Tire Sizes #
The MGF needs very specific tire sizes based on recommendations in the owners manual. Please refer to the separate knowledge base article on MGF Tire Sizes.
Tire Age #
In addition, pay attention to the age of your tires. The tread wear or amount of tread left is not an indicator of the life of the tire. The tire’s age is an important safety factor. See this article on tire age to learn more and how to read the date of manufacture of a tire so you can determine the age of the tire.

I’ve built this website and spent time on the knowledge base to bring together a lot of information I have collected from around the internet. The intent is making it easy to find rather than having to know about and have skills with search engine query terms to get what you were looking for. Please make use of the knowledge base.
