Torque the Head on an MG, checking or redoing, is a must on an MG. This step is specifically mentioned in the process of tuning an MGB to complete before you check the valves. You can jump to that video quickly using this link for checking and adjusting the valves.
In this video John is using an MG Midget but the process is the same across MGs. In this case John is torquing the head for the first time. Although not a retorque but it shows you the process. If you’re doing a retorque/tune you will losen each nut, one at a time ONLY. Then retorque that nut back to the correct torque value. The one by one process and the pattern/spiral to follow is shown.

I’ve built this website and spent time on the knowledge base to bring together a lot of information I have collected from around the internet. The intent is making it easy to find rather than having to know about and have skills with search engine query terms to get what you were looking for. Please make use of the knowledge base.
