SU HIF Carburetor Tuning

SU HIF (Integrated Float) Carburetor Tuning is performed by John Twist. He explains the process while he actually works on some HIF 4 carburetors on an MGB. These would be the stock carbs on a 1972-1974 US Spec MGB. UK Spec Cars retained the HIF 4 from 1972 to the end of production in 1980.

If you have not previously viewed John’s overview video, that may be useful. To review that first, where he walks through the process use this link to that item in the knowledge base.

Now you will be ready to do your own SU HIF Carburetor Tuning.

John Twist of University Motors Ltd. is a great resource and supporter of the MG community. His website has a great deal of information available for free. I’ve built this website and spent time on the knowledge base to bring together a lot of information I have collected from around the internet. The intent is making it easy to find rather than having to know about and have skills with search engine query terms to get what you were looking for. Please make use of the knowledge base.
