The main thing to know with RoStyle Wheel Balancing this that the wheel is “lug centric” NOT hub centric.
Simplistically if the tire balancer is using the whole in the center of the wheel you will end up with a horrible result. Why? Because the hole in the center of a RoStyle wheel probably isn’t exactly in the middle of the wheel. This is unlike most modern alloy or steel wheels. However some newer cars are starting to have lug centric wheels. The tire shops are starting to be more familiar with the need for lug centric balancing.
In order to balance a RoStyle wheel it needs to be mounted using the 4 lug nut bolt holes. There are “Finger Plates” available for this which can be setup for RoStyle wheels. The bolt pattern size is 4×4.5″ (also referenced as 4×114.3mm).
So, if you are getting your RoStyle wheels balanced with new tires (tyres) ask them about “lug centric” balancing. If they have the necessary equipment to support this. If they don’t or don’t know what you are asking about, go elsewhere!
Hopefully this is a helpful primer of what to plan for when considering RoStyle Wheel Balancing.
